I just love our little podcast. This week we discuss what would happen if President Obama cut me in line at Starbucks and took the last of the soy milk, and that’s just one conversation. Give it a listen and let your Diva flag fly!

If The Elevator Tries to Bring You Down

Let me just say that I cannot go into detail about the way finally seeing Prince changed my life this weekend.

Just know that I lost my mind on “Let’s Go Crazy,” choked up on literally the intro of “When Doves Cry,” and lost it during “Purple Rain.” It was the most important concert I’ve ever attended. The man is made of honey and silk. Do not argue.

He also wore one of those tunics with his face on it and that is my absolute favorite.

For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

I want to be around people that do things. I don’t want to be around people anymore that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people that dream and support and do things.

Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
